Pool Time

Yes, lots of fun in the pool. This past Labor Day weeekend was the end though...so we made our last trip until next year. Allie is our neighbor and Izzy loves her.

Catch Up - Lots of Pictures

Okay, lots of pictures to post. We have had a busy and FUN summer. It is sad to see that it is over. Once a certain someone has a birthday, our beach trip is over, and college football has started, you know Fall is on the way. Anyway, here are a bunch of random pictures from July. I know, blog slackers, we are. First ones are of Terry and Kara, cousins from Oregon who came to visit on their trip to D.C. Izzy sure liked these girls...hopefully she will get to see them again in December.

Then, Izzy and Sanka playing...they are best friends. Sanka loves to wrestle around with Izzy and Izzy can't get enough "kisses." sick.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Someone in our family turned another year older...do we dare say how old? The best part is he didn't have to work and he was with his family at the beach!! Highlights from the day were, donuts for breakfast, gifts from family, BBQ for dinner. Does it get much better? Here are few pictures from the day. It will be fun when Izzy actually know what a birthday is.

Lazy Days of Summer

August was such a great month. The weather wasn't too awful and humid and we found a few nice time to go the park down the street to swing and other "fun" stuff. Izzy found that bark is really "fun" to pick up and move, make piles of, put in her hair... This kid is obsessed with bark and rocks, might I add. She was loving the swing, then I put her down and walked around and thought we could maybe tackle the short slide, no, she went right for the bark and rocks. Good grief. I guess maybe this is just a phase, but will we have an archeologist on our hands?

This one I had to throw in...I think this was taken the same weekend in August, but she looks so serious, a look we don't get that often. Nice farmers tan Izzy.

Petting Zoo

Well, we ventured out to the County Fair and the main objective was to visit the Petting Zoo (and get a funnel cake). Isabella went crazy...she did not stay in her stroller long and was kicking, shaking, pointing and all sorts of grunts and clicks to get to these animals. The girl is a regular animal lover. sigh. We saw cows, goats, lambs, chickens, roosters, bunnies, pigs, ponies, and the list goes on. The girl was obsessed with all of these guys. Guess we need to make a trip to the Washington Zoo to explore our animal repertoire.

She actually got to pet this one. Most of the cows were with their backends facing us, so we had to watch out for kicking, but this little guy was sitting down and we could pet him.

Ear tube surgery

Izzy had surgery today. We knew it was something that needed to be done. After having ear infections for 6 months straight and no hope after the dry summer, she was still having them (thanks to her dad). The surgery went well, but waking up from the anesthesia was pretty miserable. Thanks to all the friends and family who prayed for this little kiddo and her parents! "Let's get this show on the road already people!"
Little diaper poking through the back of her gown

Doesn't he look hot in the paper suit thingy?

A Family Visit From Washington State

Well, the Field Grandma and Grandpa, Bartlow Great Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Jenny all came for a hot visit to Virginia. They drove the 46 hours straight to get here. I say, they are CRAZY! But, it is a whole lot cheaper than plane tickets. It was fun having them here to see Isabella at this age. She had a great time playing with her peeps, as you can see below. Getting her to sit still is a challenge, but Poppy managed to do it quite nicely. More pictures to come...

Magazines, magazines and more magazines

Yes, I know what you are thinking..."What in the world does she have all of those magazines for?" Well, let me explain. I have this problem about keeping magazines. I like to go back to the previous year and look at the months magazine. For example, my Martha Stewart magazines have great tips and ideas for Thanksgiving and many other holidays, so I always keep the holiday ones and when that time rolls around the next year, I look back to see what she suggested last year. Well, Chris is tired of my many stacks of magazines, okay, I am too. So, I decided to whip through these so called stacks and rip out the pages I think I need or will reference in the future. Well, my darling little helper decided she'd help too:) So, as I was discarding them, she would rip them to shreds and laughing the entire time. I have created a monster! And yes, this is about as much fun as we have in our house. I know you are jealous.

On the way home from Idaho

Here are some pictures of our trip back from Idaho. We made a pit stop in Minneapolis to see Tory, Jeanette and our new neice, Mackenzie. It was so fun to see them and have lunch. Isabella and Mackenzie had a great time hugging each other too. Wish we could be closer so they can play together.
