Destin, Take 2

Okay, here are the rest of the pictures from vacation. I can't leave any out, the grandthings would know....and this is mostly for them since they are missing their
grandchild growing up. (Yes, I am sad and bitter, can you tell?) Izzy had fun playing at the fountain this year, however not brave enough to run under the big ones, and played with the little small broken fountain and then a little girl came along and sprayed Izzy right in the face. I don't think she did it on purpose, but Izzy was not having that. After a few brief moments of crying and dried the eyes, she was back at it and let the little girl know that was her broken fountain and there were lots of other ones she can go and spray.
The magical tongue, thanks to her Dad appears in majority of her pictures.

The gang at dinner. Not sure why Izzy is making that face.

White Sand, Clear Emerald Ocean, Sunshine, and R&R

I have been working on this post for a few days...there are so many pictures!! (I am sure the grandparents are happy about that.) I will have to post one more time to finish up all the pictures from the week.
We went on our yearly family vacation to the beach in Florida. It was wonderful, as always and we managed to avoid the tropical storms. Here are a bunch of pictures from the week. We all had a great time, but Izzy especially loved the ocean, beach, sun, toys, ocean creatures daddy found, sand (and eating it from time to time). Everything had to go in the bucket of water, then to the sand, them back again...

Lots of walks on the beach with mommy...mostly bird watching.

Say cheese Izzy...or just snarl and look confused. So tired from the beach, she fell asleep at lunch. 3 to 4 hour afternoon naps were nice...

Beach pictures, kinda. Where was Honey when we needed her?

This is what she does when you say "say cheese."

"What's that?" She says this to almost everything now.

Izzy and Daddy playing around after dinner

Yes, that is Daddy's nose.
This is my nose.

"Come on peeps, bring my stroller, we have places to go and shop and feed the fish, and..."

Izzy's first carousel ride

Ah, thanks for the (open mouth) kisses

The Challenge of Walking on the Sidewalk

Izzy has been having trouble walking lately...over the weekend, she managed to fall (on her face) twice. She will just be walking along, and BAM, down she goes. So...we are wondering if it has to do with her ear surgery or if she is just clumsy. As cute as these pictures are, I feel really bad about her nose. She is such a tom boy. And the last ones I threw in because she is just so cute with her doggie.

One of her favorite words to say is, "Uh-oh." Sometimes she uses it in context and sometimes she wakes up saying it for no reason.

"What is out there?"

"Oh, I love you too, my doggie."

For Aunt Jenee'

So...we thought since college football season is upon us, Izzy can sport her shirt you got for her. Like the socks? Yes, she is coloring on newspaper...she could do this all day.

Football season has started....

and that is why the blog is now crimson and grey....Go Washington state Cougars!!!
I am sure Izzy is really looking forward to college game day every Saturday with her Daddy (while mommy runs errands.)
I am also looking forward to Fall...for these reasons:
1. Cool weather, which is great for walks to O-town, feed the ducks, stop at Mom's Apple Pie Bakery and get a Mexican wedding cookie and other very de-lish treats.
2. Fall decorations - why do I love the autumn colors SO much?
3. Pumpkins carving...ooo, and Halloween. This year, Izzy is a chicken. That's right....if her big self will fit into it (we bought it last year on super duper clearance). Wait, I am giving all my secrets away here.
4. Soups - great time to try a few new recipes. Shall I also mention all the other delicious foods that come out during this time of year. It is just one big eating fest.
5. Jeans and hoodies.
6. Fall gets us closer to Christmas!!!!
7. Candy corn
