Fun to be One!

Well, it is party time in the Field House. Isabella turned 1 today and boy was that fun! We had a party in the park. She did great. I don't think she realized everyone was there for her and all of the cake, food, gifts and fun was for her. I can't wait to show all of this to her when she grows up. Thanks to all that could be there for this special day! As you can see she loved it all, especially the cake....mmmm, that is sugar Izzy (mommys favorite.) More pictures from the weekend to come.

5k run

Well, I did it. I ran in a 5K this past weekend. It was fun minus a few things. I finished in a little over 28 minutes and my goal was to finish in 30 minutes:) It was for an organization called Bright Beginnings. They provide shelter and food for homeless children. I don't know why this loaded sideways...

Mindlessness

Okay, so I am pretty sure this all mental, but I have been suffering from some serious "out of body" experiences lately. It is like my head is not attached to my body and I am just mindlessly wondering around, forgettiing ALOT, doing things twice, having weird dreams, falling down or tripping for no reason and the list goes on. I am sorta blaming this on the fact that on Sunday, I am having a monumental day, a day of celebrating, I guess (although lately, not feeling like celebrating due to this weird phenomenon I am having), eating cake and other de-lishisness. I am turning the big 3-0. That's right. I am "offically old" as I used to tell my two sisters that have both turned 30 before me and now I am there. I can only imagine how they will tell me how "old" I am now. Bring out the black balloons or something..maybe that is just 40? Oh goodness, only 10 years away.
So, my question is, is this normal to be feeling so mindless or am I just crazy? (Chris is not aloud to answer.)

Fun with Dad

Izzy and Dad at Sunday school. She was showing everyone how she can clap. She is looking like her Daddy more and more everyday. She does a lot of "Daddy" things too.

Silly stuff

We are finding Isabella having much emotion lately. She is pointing for things, knows her favorite toys and is really starting to communicate to us her emotion, whether happy or sad. At times, she is, shall we say, bi-polar? Here are a few funny pictures of Izzy (and I thought I would play along.)

Yeah for Aunt Roni

Aunt Roni came to visit on Easter. Izzy wants to walk so bad, so Roni was helping:)

Izzy and Sanka having fun

Happy Easter!

"He has Risen!" (you know what to say..."He has Risen indeed!)"
Well, we had a great Easter. We hope you did too celebrating our risen Lord!
It was quiet, but good. Isabella enjoyed her Easter basket even though she had to share, okay give, her candy to her Dad.

Izzy loves her eggs

Going to church

Izzy and Mommy

We found Izzy sleeps with her feet crossed, pretty cute, so we had to take a picture

Easter basket

First, I have to say, "How much does this picture look like her Daddy?" Oh my word, the side smile and everything. Not sure what is going on with the hair, it has a mind of its own. Izzy got an Easter package from her Grandma M and Grandpa K. As you can see, she was pretty excited.

She is 9 months old already!

Well, here are Isabella's 9 month pictures and just before Easter. She did very well, a lot better than I thought she would do:) Enjoy.

Palm Sunday

"I got my hair did." Well, this was my first attempt at curling Izzy's hair and as long as she had something to hold, she was down with it. Izzy and I were invited to our good friends, the McCormick's for an early Easter lunch (Chris was out of town). It was yummy! Izzy did very well there. She napped for 30 minutes when we first got there, so I was actually able to eat! She sat at the table with the "big kids" and ate her lunch too. Good job Isabella not being embarrassing.Eating at the McCormicks. Also, some pictures of Isabella before we went to church today.

"Let me out! Is anyone out there?"
"Mom, I am pretty strong. Pretty soon I will be able to lift myslef up to this table, just wait."
Talking to Sanka, okay, more like yelling at Sanka.
I love to pull myself up on chairs.
"What, you talkin' to me?"
