Snow, finally!

Finally, something to justify the cold. It didn't last long, but we had a moment of fun while we could. Izzy thought the snow was wonderful. We tried really hard to make a snowman, but the snow wasn't cooperating. The next best thing about the snow was to watch our dearest Husky play in it. Boy, does she love the snow and Izzy loves to watch her.

Table and chairs

Isabella got a new table and chairs recently (thanks to Nana and Papa as part of her Christmas gift) and is having so much fun having her own table to color on, read, stack things, etc. You'd think the kid won the lottery. This morning she saw it and immediately thought she needed to sit and play, however I reminded her it was time to go to school. She was so sad. So guess what we will be doing tonight?? Any guesses??

Cherry Blossom 10 mile Run

Okay, I did it, I signed up for the 10 mile run this Spring, just a few miles short of a half marathon. Race day is April 5th and I have heard it is a nice run as long as it isn't raining. The map shows that you run around the national mall area including a trip around the tidal basin of the Jefferson Memorial, which could be really pretty if the cherry blossoms are in bloom then.

Someone else in the family thinks I am completely crazy and if you are running and it is not football or baseball, then it is a waste. I guess you could say this is a hefty incentive to loose the rest of that lingering baby weight and prove to myself that I can run that far. Right now, I feel like my endurance is great, but my legs feel like they are going to fall right off my torso (sick thought, sorry.) I guess having a good heart is a good thing, now just have to work on keeping my legs in tact. I have 11 weeks to whip this bod into top running condition, so wish me luck and pray I don't faint, puke or some other terrible thing.

Get jiggy with it

Here is a great video of her dancing...she is really enjoying herself. If anyone knows how to get this to rotate, I would appreciate the tip. I guess for now, just turn your head:)

19 months old

Little miss thing turned 19 months yesterday...so here are some of the highlights. She thinks she can lift everything. For example, my 6 lb weighs, the 64 oz. apple juice bottle, and her leapfrog learning table (and this one she likes to put on daddy.) I think if she could, she would try to pick up her 40 lb. dog. I am sure that will come later. In the pictures below, she is grunting and laughing at one time...very amusing to her parents.
Oh, I also figured out, by mistake, (I love/hate technology) the video option on our camera (yes, we have had the camera for at least 4 years, quiet down.) So, here is a sorta good video. I know, save your excitement until it really happens, but we can take lots of video this way instead of the old tedious way, ie. video camera, load, then edit, then load, then edit, then load. Seriously?

SO.....this video is her telling us what Papa (Grandpa Keith) "says." You should also know that he taught her this when he was here over Christmas.

Mmmm, I love to lick the beaters

Okay, yes, I let her lick the beaters. Call me a bad mom or whatever. Don't worry Grandmas, no raw eggs in this batter. And yes, mommy shared the other beater and we licked them clean:) yum-o

At the BIG HOUSE

So, many of you know that we all go to The House on the weekends, to hang out with the students. Izzy absolutely loves going there and she pretty much thinks she owns the place. I guess since she was there every weekend in the womb, it is her "second home" too. She plays with the soccer and basketballs and we sometimes take her own balls there to throw around. A few times she decided to help re-organize the pop that we store under the cooler. I guess they weren't stacked quite right. (I am not sure where she got her organization skills from.)

These are just random pictures that I thought needed some attention. The first one is of Chris and Izzy on New Years Eve (not sure what Chris is doing with his lips) and the second one had to go up. She is sporting some pretty cute mickey mouse jamas and "putting out the vibe" as we like to call it while playing with her Dora stackers. Thanks again Mackenzie and Abby for handing down the toys to your cousin:)

Okay, here are some quick pictures from the week of Christmas. We had a wonderful time from enjoying two whole weeks home with Isabella, enjoying Mom and Dad and Jenee' for a whole week, and eating lots of yummy treats! Izzy was a joy to watch open her gifts...video to come. We were so blessed to have such a wonderful time with family.
