Christmas in the Northwest - Take 2

So, while we were in Nampa, we also visited my college roommate, Becca and her family.  Oh, what a special treat.  Owen and Izzy had a great time, and they even got to feed the horses.
Riley Jean as cute as can be.
Isabella had fun with Owen and his nerf gun.
Mmmmmm, fruit snacks
"All done..."

Feeding the horses.  It was stinkin cold, so we did not take many pictures.

Catching Up - Christmas in the Northwest

Howdy folks!  Wow, sorry it has been so long.  Let me catch you up with the craziness that has been going on.  Christmas was a whirlwind, but really nice to be with friends and family.  We visited Montgomery's in Nampa, Idaho and Field's in Pomeroy, Washington.  Isabella had the best time with cousins and seeing both sets of grandparents.  We are blessed to had two wonderful families.  Of course always hard to come back to the East coast...we are Northwesterners for sure. Waiting for God to open a door to take us back, until then we wait and be patient...Oh Lord, help me to be patient!
So I attach a few pictures that really don't do justice to everything we did, but you'll get the hint:)  Some of these are pre-Christmas/December timeframe, but too cute not to post:)  I can't help it.
Love this one.  Aunt Roni and Iz opening Thanksmas gifts...so cute.  We are pretty lucky to have Roni here and Izzy just loves having an Aunt here.

Gingerbread house time...hm, where did all the jellybeans go Izzy?  Let's just say we were missing quite a few candies that were suppose to go on the house:)
Advent house...she LOVED this.  Why wouldn't she, she got a piece of candy every time.
Abby and Isabella - these two had the best time playing

Scout, 6, Iz, 2, and Abby, 8.
Yes, it's real people...A BSU gun.  AND he is 6.  Go Scout, you da man.
Jud, Mom and me cookin in the kitchen

Having coffee at Brownstone...yum-o
The fellas searching for a puzzle of sorts...not completely sure, I was just there enjoying my delish mocha.  Ah, I could take one of those again anytime.  It is truely a treat.  They make their own chocolate and it is quite unique.  If you live in Nampa, you have to try it.
Mackenzie and Isabella hanging out.  I think they were "trying" to have a slumber party in the living room.

Iz got some tickle me Elmo gloves...oh the fun these have created.
Izzy loves music...this guitar is perfect for her.

Santa (Papa) and Iz

Mackenzie, Papa and Izzy
Scout, Papa and Abby
Jenee', Santa, and Brad
Abby, JeDonne, Papa, Tom and Scout
Jenee' and Brad...not sure Brad knows what he is getting himself into with this family:)
Isabella and Abby
Don't ask.

Okay, now we have to show the fur coat models.  Yes, Brad brought his fur coat because he didn't want to be cold up in the chilly Idaho.  AND, Mom had a fur coat, so we thought it was appropriate to have them both model their beauties, and beauties they were.
LOL, this makes me laugh everytime I see it.
Okay, more to come in another post from our trip...stay tuned.

Great Song, Great Message

When I am not listening to Veggie tales or some other CD for toddlers, I am surfing around XM radio to find something to listen too.  I usually find my place on teh contemporary Christian station, maybe becuase I need positive messages playing in my head and when you kid is in a ridiculous stage of copy cat mode, you make sure that you play something that is okay to repeat...you catch my drift.  Anyway, I am not a huge fan of Christian radio, but every once a awhile, they play some decent music. There is a song that has been out there for a few months I guess and I crank it when it comes on and it is one of those songs that will give you the goosebumpities all over...anyway, listen and enjoy!  (Iz digs it too...she just smiles and does her head banging that her Daddy taught her, ha ha...come to think of it, maybe she is smiling because of my horrid singing.)
Casting Crowns - "Until the Whole World Hears"

Lord I want to feel with Your heart
See the world through Your eyes
I want to be Your hands and feet
I want to live a life that leads

Ready yourselves

Ready yourselves
Let us shine the light of Jesus in the darkest night
Oh, ready yourselves
Ready yourselves
May the powers of darkness tremble as our praises rise

Until the whole world hears Lord we are calling out
Lifting up Your name for all to hear the sound
Like voices in the wilderness we're crying out
And as the day draws near
We'll sing until the whole world hears

Lord let Your sleeping giant rise
Catch the demons by surprise
Holy nation sanctifed
Let this be our battle cry

Ready yourselves
Ready yourselves
Let us shine the light of Jesus in the darkest night
Oh, Ready yourselves
Ready yourselves
May the powers of darkness tremble as our praises rise

Until the whole world hears Lord we are calling out
Lifting up Your name for all to hear the sound
Like voices in the wilderness we're crying out
And as the day draws near
We'll sing until the whole world hears

I wanna be Your hands and feet
I wanna live a life that leads
To see You set the captives free
Until the whole world hears
And I pray that they will see
More of You and less of me
Lord I want my life to be the song You sing

Until the whole world hears Lord we are calling out
Lifting up Your name for all to hear the sound
Like voices in the wilderness we're crying out
And as the day draws near
We'll sing until the whole world hears

Montgomery Family Pictures

During Christmas, we had all the family back together again.  It has been since 2003 or 2004 since we have all been together.  That is sad.  Debbie Brown did an amazing job capturing all 14 of us smiling and looking at the camera.  Thank goodness for the rocking horse which kept Izzy busy and happy. Thanks Debbie for all your patience.  You did a great job!
